You’re a busy woman who has gotten caught up in the every day To Do’s of life. You feel exhausted, overwhelmed, grouchy, overweight and unattractive.  If one more person says your name pleadingly, asks for something, insinuates that “you should” or “you have to” you may just lose it.  You love your kids and your husband, but now it seems like all you do is complain, gripe or snap at them.  You don’t know what has happened or why you feel this way, but you wonder, “Is this what I really imagined for myself?”

I have been where you are.  I didn’t realize how stressful things had gotten in my life until flipping through my Senior yearbook from high school and reading notes from friends, telling me how funny and fun I was.  I sat there- crying, wondering where this funny and happy person had gone.  I flashed back to dating my husband and wondered, “where was that confident, fun loving, carefree woman?”

Over the last few years I have rediscovered that part of myself and am having fun remembering, learning and being compassionate with the True Me.  The woman, wife, mother and business owner.

 

I came up with the idea for Sassy U after hearing my friends express the same thoughts and comments during our day-to-day conversations. This is a program I would have loved when I was trying to get my sassy back.

In Sassy U, I will guide you through activities and exercises that both challenge and stretch you and your thinking & being, so that you can begin nourishing the sassy, fun side of yourself.  Together, we will create paths to places within you that you never knew were there.  It allows you to put yourself out there in a way that feels true to you and for others to see the true you. When you begin nourishing yourself, your soul and your happiness, others around you begin to do the same. They look at you differently, they smile more when you’re around, they talk to you more and they too begin to feel inspired to take care and nourish their souls.

It’s not selfish to take care of and love yourself.  Try this on for size: It’s actually selfish not to! Being there, nourishing your soul and your happiness allows you to be there more for your family. Totally there, coming from a place of love.

What is Sassy U?

Sassy U is a 13-week fun and interactive transformational group-coaching program, where we’ll focus on:

• Connecting with your heart, body and the true you.
• Creating awareness of what bugs you and what you admire about yourself.
• Rotorootering your crappy thoughts and learning ways to question those thoughts on your own.
• Recognizing choices and learning how to reduce your To Do list.
• Letting go of what others think of you and rewriting the stories you tell yourself.
• Dreaming and scheming for your future…what you want, what you dream and what you imagine.
• Paying attention to your values and actions
• Letting go of one thing that is really bugging you right now.
• Creating a self-care plan
• Paying attention to what makes you feel good and how to bring these things into your everyday life.
• Making a “Sassy U” vision board
• Learning how to handle those who feel threatened or uncomfortable around the true you.
• Writing and Living A Sassy Manifesto

I created the program specifically for the summer, because as a mom, I've found that's actually when things slow down a bit. And, because it's the summer and I'm spending more time with my family, I tend to get hit by feelings and thoughts of "there's just too much!", "there's not enough time!", or "I'm not pretty or skinny enough, why can't I be happier?"  I find the summer is when I need to nourish my true self the most.
